For a long time inspiration was found in the many travels I made and the different ways of housing that people show in different countries. Though reality is often the starting point, most of the work is the result of my own fantasy. Habitats can also be made in assignment..

The approach of Cacutta differs from earlier work in the way this is more realistic. The shacks have been build out of more and more different , worthless, materials. The colorful strips have now become subservient to the other materials.

Shacks and ladders represents a village that is build against the rocks, consisting of shacks that can be reached through ladders.

As the title says, this work represents an old temple, covered by the jungle.

A Ksar is a collection of Kasbah 's that together make a traditional Moroccan village (Ksar). Everything is build in the adobe technique, which means earth is mixed with straw and the blocks, made of this material, are baked in the sun.

A Kasbah is a North African building for several families to live in. Often it is build in the adobe technique, meaning that it is made of the local mud, mixed with straw.

A Donjon is a defence tower within a castle. This work is partly made of burned wood.

Hidden temple shows the remains of an old temple, covered by plants, as you might find it in the jungle.

Flag temple mainly finds its inspiration in Tibet, where many buildings show flags and pennants.
